Halloween!!!

Sadly, I'll be spending it in Korea this year and everyone's celebrating it on the weekend here in Japan when I'm gone....

I think Halloween is probably my favorite holiday, and I was really heartbroken about not being able to celebrate it like I usually do... (I mean, I'm still upset I can't trick or treat anymore....)

So I dressed up anyway... lol!

I decided to do Pocahontus because I didn't actually have to buy anything and required little make up -eye liner and lipstick... oh yeah and my brows!

What are you guys gonna be for Halloween???

Spooky Forest Halloween Nails

I am posting another halloween look lol, yesss it never ends lol. So this week my boss told me I had to cut my nails (tear) and of course I understand why and filed them down... They are still not hella short but I figured this is enough... right??? =(

I wasn't sure what I really wanted to do.. I thought maybe I should throw in some haunted houses but then I thought it might look a lot more cluttered than it already is... so I kept it like this...

More Halloween Nails!

Haha! So it was only a day but I really wanted to change my nails so here's what's on my nails now =P
 It's a bit more obvious that the theme is Halloween for this one =)

The bottom one is my right hand, so it was harder to draw in the faces, but I thought I'd put it in because I didn't use the blue/white fog like I did on my left hand. 

I sure am excited about Halloween... I wish I could still trick or treat lol!

My Slimy Halloween Nails

Today's post comes from my students asking why I haven't done any halloween nails like I usually do.

I actually forgot we are getting closer to the middle of October already!! I've just been preoccupied with..well life, and waiting for my new card to come in the mail so I can actually get money out from my account so I can get back to my usual life (I've been uber broke cause the banks close at three and I don't get off till 7..., and my credit card was the same card as my ATM card... so I've been screwed)

Anywayyyy, so today I was just sitting around and messing with my paints, and not really sure of what I was gonna do with them. I didn't want anything too intricate or time consuming, so I kept it simple.. sorta...

This is what I ended up with, and though it's not my favorite, it's what will be on nails this week. So like I said before, I used paint (acrylic paint from the dollar store) to do this. It dries a lot faster and is easier to work with (you can simply wipe it off if you mess up and doesn't get sticky like nail polish), so I was able to add a top coat, let it dry a bit and take a shower without it getting ruined like it usually does when I do my nails at night.

anyway, here's how I did it =)

So after applying your base coat, I just took a sponge and put a little bit of black polish and dabbed it from the tip of my nails going about 1/2 in.

Next, taking green paint mixed with a little white, I started painting the ooznig slime

Then I thought I'd add a spider web to the pinky (it's totally all over the place, I know) lol

and a bubbling cauldron 

and a spider...

and red gems lol

but that's it, I swear!! lol!

I should start thinking about the next nail look... 

I totally recommend paint though!! It might take a little getting used to to know how much water to add to get the right consistency (i use a spray bottle), but it's great!!

Nails of the Week and Pretty Lanterns

This is the Jack-o-lantern I drew on the "paper bag(?)" lantern thing that they were hanging on trees at a park near by. They were all so pretty, I'm not sure what it was for, but I paid up and started drawing.

my boyfriend also drew on the back, he loves mr. t btw... so go figure... lol

it said PITY i think, or pity the fool? i don't remember lol

And here are the nails I had this week. I forgot to get a picture in the beginning of the week, so the gems have already started falling off LoL!! Hence, the hiding index finger lol!!!

It's really starting to get cold, and I'm getting all my fall/ winter clothes out ::sigh::

Fast and Easy Updo Tutorial

Here's a tutorial I did on my youtube channel and thought I'd share it here too. 

Everyone's starting with their Halloween tutorials, and I was thinking of doing a couple as well, but it turns out I'll be going to Korea during the Halloween weekend, so I'll be missing all the parties and won't be dressing up =( 

I guess I can still do some tutorials anyway. A couple that I can think of would be Pochahontas and Princess Jasmine, cause they are ethnic I guess lol... I'm not really sure what else I can do lol. Any suggestions?
