Spring/Summer Flower Nail Tutorial

This week I decided to back off from the bright yellow and orange colors, but it's still Springy and pretty flashy.

I used whites, pinks, and blues; and on my ring finger I'm using China glaze's "sea spray" which is a gray/blueish color.

It might take a bit of a steady hand to do the flowers (and I don't have a steady hand) but it's a fairly easy to do look.
I finally uploaded something on youtube... lord know's it's been forever since I've been on it...

Hope you are all having a lovely week!

Give yourself a facial =)

This used to be my Sunday thing. Once a week I'd give myself a facial before the new week began. It was nice to pamper myself and feel totally relaxed and refreshed (I used to do all my cleaning, manicures, pedicures, go for yoga classes on Sunday). But since I moved to Japan, I found that I had less time to do all those things I used to. In fact, because Sunday is the only day I don''t work now, it seems like I don't even have the energy for those things.

So I moved my facials to Mondays. It works Monday is my least favorite day of the week.... It's the beginning of the long week to come, and used to be my longest work day. So coming home, I decided to give myself a facial on this day as a "reward". It gave me something to look forward to, and made Mondays a bit more tolerable.

So aside from setting the mood (candles, music, etc), there are a few things we need for this. A cleanser, scrub, mask, toner, and moisturizer. Also to steam my face I use a kettle to boil water, a bowl, and a tea bag.

1. Wash your face with your everyday cleanser. We are just taking off the dirt and what not from the surface of your face. No fancy cleanser is needed for this. I am using my neutrogena's oil free acne wash.

2. After your face is all clean, you can steam your face to open up your pores so that we can deep into the pores. Just boil some water, put it in a bowl with a tea bag in it, and use a towl or something to keep the steam in.
 I use green tea bags

gosh the steam.... I look totally uncomfortable lol. anyway, keep your face in there for about 10 minutes, and after your face is all sweaty and steamy, time to go to the next step.

3. Scrub!! I use different scrubs, but my favorite has to be the one I use from Lush. I think in English it's called Ocean Salt, but this is it.

I gotta admit though, the first time I used this, it kind of hurt... I had bought it to try out with my mom and she really liked it. So after a few weeks I finally switched from my neutrogena scrub to the lush one. I remember asking my mom, "Mom.....is it supposed to sting?...." and she told me after a few uses it goes away. And she was right.  I didn't feel it much after. It really helped with my acne, and my face felt SO smooth after.

me with the scrub on my face..lol

4. Ok, now our faces should be squeaky clean! I now take a bit of time to get the junk out of the pores on my nose... It's a painful but rewarding process... the nose strips! Now I'm one of those weirdos that likes to see the stuff left on the strip even though I'm equally repulsed by it. I just..can't..stop..looking..
(O_o) you know? lol
yeah I'm aware of how dorky I look!

Ok so if you want to see what I got out of it....scroll down... for those that don't want to cause it's gross, just keep scrolling down and go past it lol

EWWW! lol
5. ok moving on lol. Mask. Let's tighten those clean pores with what ever favorite mask you have. I'm using a lush one once again, althoug from time to time I also use my neutrogena one. I leave this on for another 10-15 minutes.
all I remember is that it has ginger....

AHHHH upside-down scary face!!!

6. Almost there, now we just wash that off, use a gentle toner (although I'm using clinique's which isn't so gentle lol), and moisturize as usual! All finished now!!! Feel fresh and ready for the rest of the week? I know I do! Even though the experience was a bit different due to the clicking camera at every step lol...

What kinds of things do you all do to pamper yourself??

Funky and Fruity Nails

Hey guys! Here are the nails I have for this week...or maybe half a week...lol

So these came out to be WAY brighter and crazier than I thought it would.
Orange and yellow polish with polka dots on the yellow.
I added the fruit bits on those three fingers, but the yellow I used was like a crazy neon lol...

It would have looked a lot better if the colors matched a bit better... a softer yellow and a creamy, pastel orangey color...

I'm still gonna wear it haha,
I'm sure it will turn heads and all the kids at work will notice lol...

Hope you guys like it or at least found it hilarious.

Pervs on Trains in Japan

Many friends of mine who live in the US don't believe me when I say that train rides during rush hour are horrible.
For one, I'm sure you have seen the youtube videos of people being physically being pushed by white gloved men into train cars just so they will all fit. Yes, that is true. Especially with the train lines that stop at major station, oh yeah, sardines much?
I pulled one up from youtube in case you haven't seen it.
So there are many things I can tell you that go on in those trains.
1. Breath. People have the worst breath in there I swear!!! And it's bad enough that I'm all about the same hight as them, so there's no where to escape...
2. Farts. Farting is not such a bad thing here, apparently. Kids, adults, anyone just farts in public shamelessly... No one says anything about it... and when you are on express trains with stops every 20 mins or so... well being trapped in a train car full of various odors is no fun thing...
3. PERVERTS. Yes, there are some men who like to grind on you in the trains or grab at you when you are stuffed in the trains... It has happened to me many times. I can tell you the many horrible things that went on because I just couldn't move out the way and to be honest froze with fear...=(..pathetic, huh...
anyway, for those that didn't believe me.... Here's a sign on trains that discourage stalkers and perverts from well...stalking and being perverts lol.

Basically saying they don't allow/forgive/permit perverts. That it leaves a deep wound in the victims hearts...

The fact that they have so many signs like this on trains and other areas where they warn you of chikans (perverts) makes me smh..

Gotta love that "NO!" on that man though...

Nails of the Week

Hey all!

So this week has started already and I wanted to get back into my usual routines that I've been kind of ignoring for the last month or so.

I did hit the gym today (whoo!) and did my nails when I came home from work =)

Only needed three polishes: white, black and glitter. The black and glitter ones were nail art polishes.

I used one coat of my gel top coat, but I think with 2 more coats it will become more bubbly and shiny <3

I would have done a tutorial, but I wasn't too sure of what I would do and didn't want to film something I wasn't so sure about.

Hope you all are having a great week so far!

I'm back!!!

So here I am. Back after like a whole month... lol, I haven't been in the blogging world in soo long, I need to catch up on all my fav blogs and youtube channels.

Seriously, the last month has been sooo hectic. Between the complicated decision of coming back to Japan, the resumed classes, crazy assignments, and work (and earthquakes that still go on), I haven't been able to keep up with everything else that wasn't school or work related...

Anyway, I guess as an update, I had fun back home. Even though I got sick for like half the time I was there and was confined to my bed....(-_-;;)

I spent my birthday with my friends and family
I made it back for like the last 2 days of the Cherry Blossom season...

The parks are all really pretty =)

This semester is officially over and I will have more time to get back into all of this =)

So I'll leave you guys with some my nails from a few weeks ago <3

I hope you all are doing alright! Missed you guys!!!!
