A brown smokey eye tutorial

So I kept my word and did a smokey eye tutorial I was asked about maybe a week earlier or so.

Doing tutorials and videos kinda suck right now though because it's SO hot and humid here, and with the whole "saving energy" thing going in on in Japan (because of the disaster with the nuclear plant) filming can be a nightmare. I get all sweaty, my make up starts melting... hopefully you guys don't see any of that, I tried my best to stay sweat free in the video (^.^)

Pool Party in Japan

Remember that white bikini I got???
Well I went to a pool party last weekend and thought I got a chance to wear it!
The thing is, June is rainy season in Japan, and throughout the day it would rain a bit and look as though it was gonna rain. The pool party I was invited to was at this up scale location, and I was a bit confused when I heard it started at 11....PM.

So any who, there's the dj, a pretty pool side, such a great view from the roof of I forget, a 9 story building? (I can't remember, I might be getting it confused with the 9th floor of some other building I went to the other day..lol) Either way, it was gorgeous, I can't believe I didn't take any pictures. Well I know why I didn't I was freezing cold for some reason. It started drizzling about an hour in, not pouring, but that misty, foggy like drizzle. So I didn't even bother changing into my bikini.

The best part of the night wasn't all the half naked Japanese guys dancing up on each other and the Japanese girls dancing at the other side of the floor (it was like a high school, no middle school dance), but the fact that WE WEREN"T ALLOWED TO GO INTO THE POOL! lol!! It was all just for show I guess, which was really nice by the way. But a pool party with no pool that you can go into lol,,,,
There was a sign by the pool that told us not to go in, or we will be fined, and also in the elevator on our way out.

and by the way, 300,000 yen is like $3000..

I really should have snapped pictures of the night; it was really nice and I had fun. Shame!

Nails of the Week: blues and whites

Just a quick post showing my random nails today. It didn't turn out the way I wanted, so I made my index and middle finger blue. They were all the same at first but looked kinda weird. Anyway, I hope you like these nails for the week. I was thinking "summer" with the blues and of course, I am using white again lol!

On a side note, I've been obsessed with the Smurfs game on the iphone... I had another game like it before, something village? I can't remember, but I got sick of it. The concept of the smurfs game is SO much like it, but for some reason I have to keep checking on my gardens and what not.  Maybe that's why I used blue lol!

So if you guys know any good apps or games, please let me know! I can't be playing the Smurfs only all the time!!!

Spring Favorites

Hey guys! I uploaded a video on youtube and realized I've been neglecting my blogs as well! lol, so I thought I'd post it up on here so you can watch it instead of reading about it today!

On a side note, I had a great time today with my special man. We went to this Zoo/pet shop where you can buy all these exotic pets or just look at them for a small fee of 500 yen (ticket's valid for a week) I'll post the videos later. It was pretty sad actually, I feel like I need to call someone about it cause it looked like animal abuse, seriously...

But I also went to an outlet after that, not intending to buy anything... But there was this Roxy store and they up to 80% off so I went ahead and got a bikini. It was going for 80something dollars, but I got it for only 25! I really like that it came with the pink baggie thing! So I don't need to carry extra bags for the wet suit for when I change.

More nails?! yeah... lol

I know, it seems like I mostly just do nails now... But it's the one thing I always try to make time for even when I work full time and go to school. So, at least I can post some pictures of the nails I have of the week, in case it can be inspiration for you guys. I always get ideas from looking at other people's nails on the trains, from displays, magazines, etc. I just figure this way I can also share the ideas and my own creations as well =)

Sorry the last one is really blurry. I'm still trying to work with the camera.

Anyway, I honestly though I would have more time for blogging and youtube, but I leave around 7am and come home at about 9:30 6 days a week... and the time between is for homework and preparing for work...

So please forgive me. On the bright side I only have 10 more days of class until I graduate!!! Whoop whoop! the only thing that sucks is that even though I'm done this summer, my diploma will say class of 2012. wth, right??

Rainy season/Flower Nails (of the week)

Just can't get it together, as you see in the title lol.

I was supposed to go to this famous temple which has lots of hydrangea flowers. But it rained this morning and the trip with my mom got cancelled =(

So last night, I wanted to prep for the trip and did my nails around midnight with the hydrangea flowers as a theme. But I was sleepy and got lazy, because drawing each individual flower (and petal) took a lot more work than I thought. Maybe if I started around 9 pm I would have had more energy for it, but oh well. 

I hope you guys like it, a few gems fell out already though lol~

On a side note, I finally got a wii!!!! I have been wanting it for years! Why I never got one is a long story, but after all this time, my dream came true!!! lol

However, it's a US wii, and so I can't buy games here for it... wtf right? (-_-)

I guess I'll being going on e-bates pretty soon to order a bunch of them. Anyone with a wii have recommendations??

Hair tutorial

So I had tried to make a hair tutorial,

and it kinda turned into a french twist with pin curls type of look.

It might take a bit of time to get used to making the pin curls.. but once you get it it's not that bad.

For those who have notices, yes, I got another Japanese super straight perm. 

that's 縮毛矯正 or shukumoukyousei

I could have just curled the ends to make it easier, but I didn't want to damage my hair since I just did it like a week ago.
