Blingy springy nails =)

It's pretty self explanatory. Two colors, and lots of bling. 

Pastels because I'm impatient and can't wait till spring. 

god, this semester is just dragging on.... I could go on a whole other rant, but I'll just stick to the nails lol.

Ew I forgot to clean up before taking pictures....

Can't wait to but more nail polish for spring. My light blue/mint greenish color was getting pretty thick and hard to put on. 

I can't also wait to not have to wear a jacket and scarf everyday.

and I can't wait till the spring semester is over! lol back to the school thing haha...

Skin care trends in Japan

I was a bit shocked when I saw this an actually realized what it was selling. 

I saw this add all over trains, but never thought about what it really was. A closer look revealed that it was placenta. 

Then over the last month I started noticing similar products everywhere.

When I went to my doctors office, I saw they had pamphlets of skin care products and were raving about how it's really good for the skin and works wonders...

Wow... How would you feel about putting that stuff on your face? I'm sure it's not cheap either lol.

btw you can see in English at the top right corner under white label, it says placenta....

Nail of the Week...for last week lol

So I'm back with another post. Nothing big, just a simple nail look I had last week. 

I bought some new polish from my new favorite nail polish brand, SKIN Food. Love love love. It's not sheer, seriously 1 coat can do the trick. And for those suffering cause they're in Japan and OPI costs.. over 20 bucks???? yeah this option of 3 bucks for a pretty big bottle is worth it! It's supposedly good for your nails too... I think lol.

Just those 2 colors, really didn't even need the silver lol, a nail art pen in white, and a top/base coat. I feel the urge to go buy more nail polish from them. I forgot how much I liked their nail polish...

...I'm going through a bit of a tough time and I have a feeling I'm not going to want to blog or go on youtube for a while...
I really need to rethink who I am, where I am, and whether thats where I want to be in life...

I'll be okay, I know that. But for some time I have a feeling that I'll be in sweat pants, eating ice cream, and rolling around in bed lol.

Winter Gold snowflakes Nails

Ok, So another blingtastic nail tutorial.

It can be a bit long if you add in the bling, but as usual, you can tone it down or jazz it up like I did. 

Another look inspired from nail magazines, ahhhh love them.

Anyway, lets start with my bare nails... YIKES can you say YELLOW???

ok, so as usual, apply your base coat...

now that your nails protected a bit, lets put on two coats of white polish on your thumb, middle finger, and pinky.

Alright, now take a gold polish, and out it on the remaining finger. (two coats again)

Great, now we need to get to the tricky parts. Making the middle section of the white polish gold. For the right hand I recommend holding the brush still over the nail and just rotating your finger to get a steady straight line.

They don't have to be too perfect. Just go over them with a glitter nail art polish or a thin brush to get more control. 

like that!, but before you do that, (unlike I did) you should add your snowflake stickers/or paint them in yourself.

and theeeeen, you can bling your nails out the way you want, add a bunch of top coats to seal them in, and FINITO!

Apothica

So I recently went on to apothica.com because of a contest that Toni Tralala is having. 

Going through it, I see they have many different products that they offer: make up, skin care, even things that might interest my boyfriend.

I wasn't really too keen on getting anything at first, I rarely shop on line... BUT!!! I have been dying to get an eye shadow from stila (kitten) because I ran out just when I got to Japan. They used to have a Stila counter around my workplace, but then they took it away...=(

I kind of gave up on buying the shadow, but seeing it on the site made me want to get it again =D...and I just might...

They have other things that might interest you as well ( I was also eyeing some candles they had...)

Next Nail Tutorial, possible animal series

I'm not much of a fan of animal print. Actually, I never owned any clothing item in my life with animal prints, but I have been trying of late. My pencil case has a zebra print, lol. I did a couple nail looks using animal prints, and I'm even thinking about doing a whole series of them. I was looking through this nail magazine for inspiration or looks to do, and I ran into a whole page full of them. I picked this to start with, and might try out a couple more that I saw on that page.  So here it is:

it might be a bit wild for some of you, but you can always use different colors and skip the glitter and rhinestones and just line it with black or whatever...
